Demanding Guarantees

A person who says "I'll tend to my soul only when I've saved enough money for the rest of my life" is demanding a pledge from God. This is absurd: you are demanding advance payment for work you haven't even started doing. Demanding guarantees of sustenance from the Creator for years ahead means doubting His ability to care for you daily, as He did while you were in your mother's womb.

The Longevity Trap

The main mistake is confidence that you have many years ahead. A person saves for old age that may never come, while ignoring debts to God (commandments) that they are obligated to "pay" right now. True security is not the sum in the bank, but the understanding that God gives exactly as much "manna" as needed for today, so that you remain connected to Him at every moment in time.
