Шват: Місяць зв'язку і завершення місії

Від відходу Шостого Ребе до початку нового лідерства і пам'яті ребецн Хаї-Мушки

10 Shvat — Passing of the Sixth Rebbe and the Beginning of New Leadership (5710–5711)

On 10 Shvat 5710 (1950), Rebbe Rayatz — the sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn — passed away, shaking the entire Jewish world. For a full year, the Chassidim remained without a formal leader, until exactly one year later, on 10 Shvat 5711 (1951), the Rebbe — Rabbi Menachem Mendl Schneerson — delivered his first maamar, "Basi Legani" ("I have come into My garden"). In this maamar, the Rebbe revealed a profound idea: our generation is the seventh from the Alter Rebbe, founder of Chabad. Just as Moses was the seventh from Abraham and it was in his time that the Shechinah — the Divine Presence — descended onto Mount Sinai, so too the mission of our generation is to return the Shechinah to this lowest world and make it a "dwelling place for G-d." This mission became the central theme of the Rebbe's entire leadership: every action, every campaign, every shaliach-emissary — everything directed toward filling the material world with Divine light.

22 Shvat — Yahrzeit of Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka (5748/1988)

22 Shvat marks the yahrzeit of Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Schneerson, the Rebbe's wife. The Rebbetzin was a living example of modesty, self-sacrifice, and absolute devotion to the mission. Throughout her life she remained behind the scenes, supporting the Rebbe and his work, never seeking public attention. Her passing marked a new stage in the preparation of the world for the coming of Mashiach. After her passing, the Rebbe significantly intensified activities connected to bringing the Geulah closer. In her honor, educational institutions named "Beis Chaya Mushka" were established worldwide — schools and centers that continue to carry her spirit of modesty and service. The Rebbetzin's memory inspires thousands of Jewish women to combine inner strength with outward humility.
