Every Shabbos, R’ Nissen Nemenov A”H would spend almost the entire day Davening and on Shabbos Mevorchim, he would lead a Farbrengen for the Bochurim in the Yeshiva. R’ Nissen would come to Shul for Mincha, and after Mincha he would wash, eat some chicken for Seudas Shabbos, and then Farbreng until late in the night. Around 10:00 pm, as R’ Nissen was about to Bentch, he said the following: “You are probably wondering why I didn’t speak, why we only sang Nigunim. This happened over and over again until the end of the Farbrengen; it was a “silent” Farbrengen, with only Nigunim sung.
