We speak about “losing time” and “wasting time.” Time can feel like something beyond our control, something that passes by us, and appears to go by “so fast.” But the Torah teaches the opposite perspective. And in the merit of recognizing the gift of time, and using it wisely and well, may we soon merit the ultimate sancti cation of all time - with the coming of the geulah sheleimah, speedily and in our days. Beginning with Shabbos and continuing through Pesach, Shavuos, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Succos, the Torah outlines the sacred times that shape the rhythm of Jewish life.
