To this response, the (Shabbat 119b) teaches us: Gemara continues, Avraham once again questioned .‫אֵ ין הָ עוֹ לָם מִ תְ קַ יֵּים אֶ לּ ָא בִ ּ ׁשְ בִ יל הֶ בֶ ל תִּ ינוֹקוֹת ׁשֶ ל בֵּ ית ַרבּ ָ ן‬ Hakadosh Baruch Hu: The world only exists because of the breath, i.e., reciting Torah, ‫ בִ ּ זְ מַ ן‬.‫ ִרבּ וֹנוֹ ׁשֶ ל עוֹ לָם! אָ מַ ר לו‬ ּ‫ בִ ּ זְ מַ ן ׁשֶ קּ ו ְֹראִ ין בּ ָ הֶ ן לְ פָ נַי — מַ עֲ לֶה אֲ נִ י עֲ לֵיהֶ ם כְּ אִ ילּ ו‬,‫סֵ ֶדר קׇ ְרבּ ָ נוֹת‬ Rav Pappa asks, why specifically their learning and not that .‫הִ ְק ִריבוּם לְ פָ נַי וַאֲ נִ י מוֹחֵ ל לָהֶ ם עַ ל כּ ׇ ל עֲ וֹנוֹתֵ יהֶ ם‬ of his own or other adults?
