Published by Mendy Levy in the Merit of Rechil Tzipra bas Malka This Maamor is dedicated in the merit of ‫מרת רעכיל צפרה בת מלכה שתחי׳‬ for a complete & speedy recovery ‫ְרפּואָ ה שְׁ לֵ ימָ ה ּוקְ רוֹבָ ה בְ תוְֹך שְׁ אַ ר חוֹלִ י יִשְ ָראֵ ל ְרפּואַ ת הַ נֶפֶ שׁ ְרפּואַ ת הַ ּגּוף‬ 2 To comprehend the phenomena of ‫לְ הָ בִ ין עִ נְ יָן הַ נְ גָעִ ים‬ endy Levy for the merit of a Refuah Shleima for Rechil Tzipra Bas Malka and for a Brocha for Ashirus for Menachem Mendel Halevi ben Rechil Tzipra Nego’im1 (that are discussed in our Parsha2 ‫)הַ מְ בֹ אָ ר בְ פ ְַרשָׁ תֵ ינוּ‬ and in the previous Parsha3 ‫וּבַ פַרָ שָׁ ה הַ ּקֹודֶ מֶ ת‬ preceding our Parsha) ‫בָ אָ ה‬ ‫שֶׁ פ ְַרשָׁ תֵ ינוּ‬ ( ָ‫בַ הֶ מְ שֵׁ ְך אֵ לֶיה‬ the Alter Rebbe‫ א‬brings down a ‫הִ נֵה מֵ בִ יא עַל זֶה‬ statement in Likkutei Torah‫ב‬ published 4 ‫בִ לְ קוּטֵ י ּתֹורָ ה‬ 6‫מֵ עֵץ חַ יִ ים‬ from the Eitz Chaim‫ ג‬that says:5 1 Nego’im: Diseased patches that can appear on one’s skin, clothes, or houses; a spiritual malady which places the bearer in a state of ritual impurity. This week’s Parsha quite often is read together and as a continuation from last week’s Parsha, After having described, the manner in which the affliction of Tzoraas is identified and the laws pertaining to a person thus afflicted, in the previous Parshah of Tazria, the Torah now proceeds to outline the process of the Metzora’s purification and rehabilitation: 4 .‫ א ואילך‬,‫ וראה ג"כ דרמ"צ מצות טומאת מצורע ק‬.‫ ג‬,‫פרשתנו כד‬ 5 That says: Eitz Chayim Shaar (38:7) The reason is because Mochin of Abba pushes away the external forces from having a hold on the kindnesses of Binah which are revealed from the chest down for there is the tree of knowledge of good and bad and from there the external forces can nurture as mentioned above. 6 .‫שער לאה ורחל פ"ז‬ “The cause for Nego’im ‫שֶׁ סִ בַ ת הַ נְ גָעִ ים‬ can be attributed to the ‫מַ חֲמַ ת‬ ‫הוּא‬ withdrawal of [influence from] the ‫אֹור‬ ‫הִ סְ ּתַ לְ קוּת‬ light of Chochmah.7 ‫הַ חָ כְ מָ ה‬ This is because Nego’im will only ‫ְדעִ נְ יַן ה
