Although the reason for this seems to be that G-d’s presence was concealed during the Purim story and all of the miracles seemed like natural occurrences, on a deeper level the reason for this is that specifically at the 1 time of G-d’s apparent concealment is when His essence, which is beyond any name, can be found. • If one did not hear the Zachor reading, one should make sure to hear the Torah reading of Purim morning with which, according to some authorities, one can fulfill this mitzvah.5 • It has been suggested that one should not eat before this reading just as one should not eat before performing any mitzvah that has a fixed time.
