For additional sponsorship opportunities, or questions on the project, email me at lessonsinlikutaytorah@gmail.com 3 LESSONS IN LIKUTAY TORAH Likutay Torah ‫לִ קּ וּ טֵ י תּ וֹ ָרה‬ ַׁ ַׁ‫פ ָָּּרשַׁת וָּאֶ תְ חנַׁן‬ ‫מַ אֲ מָ ר‬ ַׁ ַׁ]‫וְ יָּדעְ תָּ ַׁהיוֹ םַׁ[א‬ 1 ַׁ '‫ַדף ד' עַ מוד א‬ “Knowing and Believing in Hashem” )‫(א‬ (Chapter 1) Parshas Vaeschanan details part of the discussion that Moshe Rabeinu has with the Jewish People prior to entering the Land of Israel: ‫"וְ יָ ַדעְ תָּ הַ יוֹם וַהֲ שֵׁ בוֹתָ אֶ ל לְ בָ בֶ ךָ [כִּ י ה' הוא‬ “And you should know today, and ‫הָ אֱ ל ֹ ִּק ים בַשָ מַ יִּם מִּ מַ עַ ל וְ עַ ל הָ אָ ֶרץ מִּ תָ חַ ת אֵׁ ין‬ take to heart, that Hashem is the G-d on Heaven Above and on earth below; :)‫ לט‬,‫עוֹד]" (דְ בָרִּ ים ד‬ there is none else.” (Devarim 5:35) The Alter Rebbe will analyze this verse: :)‫ לה‬,‫ הֲ ל ֹא כְ בָר נֶאֱ מַ ר (שָ ם‬:‫הִּ נֵׁה יֵׁש לְ הָ בִּ ין‬ We need to understand: Did the ‫"אַ תָ ה הָ ְראֵׁ תָ לָּדעת [כִּ י ה' הוא הָ אֱ ל ֹ ִּק ים אֵׁ ין‬ verse not already state, (ibid. 5:35) “You were shown at the Giving of the ,"]ֹ‫עוֹד מִּ לְ בַדו‬ Torah that Hashem is the true existence so that you should know that Hashem is G-d, and there is none else.” ?"ַָּׁ‫ומַ הו עוֹד "וְ יָּדעְ ת‬ If so, what is added by telling us that we should know that Hashem is the ‫ הַ נָחַ ת כְ בוֹד ְקדושַ ת אַ ְדמו"ר הָ אֶ מְ צָעִּ י‬.‫ ט"ו מְ נַחֵׁ ם אָ ב תקס"ה‬,‫ נַ חֲ מו‬,‫ (נֶ אֱ מַ ר שַ בָת פָ ָרשַ ת וָאֶ תְ חַ נַן‬1 .)‫קעט‬-‫ ביאור באור התורה דברים ע' קסז‬.‫נ ְִּד פְ סָ ה בְ סֵׁ פֶ ר הַ מַ אֲ מָ ִּר ים תקס"ה חֵׁ לֶק ב' עַ מוד תשכח‬ LESSONS IN LIKUTAY TORAH 4 only G-d?
