The 3 types of animals corresponded to the 3 categories of Jews, ישראלים, לויים,כהנים, and the 3 parts of Tanach – כתובים, נביאים,תורה. QUESTION: Why are there two gifts that represent the ( תורהthe gold _____, and the __ types of animals)? The gifts representing תורהhighlight what couldn’t be done before, and is accomplished now. This was a hint to the תורה, which was given by Hashem’s ( כַּףwhich also means hand). The 2nd gift represents the תורהas it was accepted and implemented by בני ישראל. Amongst these gifts, there are two gifts that include a reference to the תורה. When we actually learn תורהand do מצוותwe are able to make things holy.

Rashi explains that each of these gifts were symbolic, representing something special. Amongst these gifts, there are two gifts that include a reference to the תורה. 1. The נשיאיםeach gave one gold ( כַּףspoon) filled with קטורת. This was a hint to the תורה, which was given by Hashem’s ( כַּףwhich also means hand). 2.
