We are now ready to return and reexamine the opening passuk of the parsha אלה פקודי המשכן משכן העדותand discover how this new interpretation of Chazal that the chait Aigel was completely forgiven at the first Churban is the underlying message of the Torah's words. Furthermore on the words משכן העדותRashi brings עדות לישראל שוויתר להם הקדוש ב"ה על מעשה העגל שהרי השרה שכינתו ביניהם- משכן העדתit is called the Mishkan which gives testimony that Hashem forgave the sin of worshipping the Aigel because we find that His Shechinah resided amidst Am Yisrael. Yet as a rebuttal to this, it appears that the Mishkan was not a complete tikkun as Rashi brings (Shmos 32,34) that there is no punishment that comes to Yisrael which doesn't include an installment of punishment from the Chait of the Aigel as we discussed last week. The meforshim say that this explains why the four faces on the Kisay Hakavod were originally אדם אריה שור נשרbut later in the days of Yechezkail Hanavi, the שורwas changed with the face of a כרובinfant. While describing the materials that Yisrael brought to Moshe to be used in the building of the Mishkan, the Torah says ( והמלאכה היתה דים והותרShmos 36,7) the materials were enough and there was a surplus. Chazal derive this from the Torah's description of the scene present at the worshipping of the Aigel that the people were spiritually intoxicated in a state of ( לצחקsee Rashi Bereishis 21,9). Chazal also say that the reason for the destruction of the first Beis Hamikdash was because during that period they transgressed these three cardinal aveiros which was a carry on of the Chait Aigel. However it does not exclude that if one acts sinfully, these new aveiros will cause the awakening and the reappearance of the chait of the Aigel in order to also bring punishment upon Yisrael c"v. The HaMishkan is referring to the known Mishkan of the parsha which would eventually become missing פקודי, because it was placed in genizah concealment. The term " והותרthere was left over" is describing that even with the donations to the Mishkan the chait of the Aigel was left over and remained, for its tikku
