This teaches us that – like air – the ‫ עבודה‬of ‫ אלול‬and ‫ תשובה‬is something that is both relevant and accessible to every Jew. For example, while a person needs shelter, a house to live in, __________ is even more vital. And, as much as one needs food to eat, water to ______ is even more vital for his survival. Everyone always needs air to breathe, and air is readily available to everyone. Therefore, the ‫ פריערדיקער רבי‬mentions the “air” having changed. The more essential the need, the more readily available it is.
