In the ‫ פסוקים‬about the ‫ מזבח‬there is an extra word1 that is explained by the opinion of ‫ר' יוסי‬, so ‫ רש"י‬brings the ‫מחלוקת‬. However, the ‫ פסוקים‬about the ‫ קלעים‬can be understood without additional commentary, so ‫רש"י‬ doesn’t mention that ‫מחלוקת‬. ANSWER: ‫’רש"י‬s objective is to explain ____ ___ _____, the basic, simple meaning of the ‫פסוק‬. Therefore, he only brings what is necessary to understand the ‫ פסוקים‬in the ‫חומש‬.
