It means that when Dovid ‫יך‬ and the bnei Tziyon learned ‫אַ ְרבָ ּ עָ ה אָ בוֹ ת נְ ִזיקִ ין‬, when they learned ‫יְ צִ יאֹת‬ ‫הַ ּ ׁשַ בָ ּ ת‬, or ‫ בֵ ּ יצָ ה ׁשֶ נּ וֹ לְ ָדה בְ ּ יוֹ ם טוֹ ב‬whatever they learned, it was a way of singing a song of praise to Hakadosh Baruch Hu. And about that period of our history there the expression was used ‫ – יְ ִהי כְ בוֹ ד ה'
