Most of Anash davened in the regular minyan and the “Chassidisher” minyan consisted of R’ Mendel Futerfas A”H, R’ Michoel Teitelboim A”H, R’ Asher Sossonko A”H, R’ Eli Chaim Rotblatt A”H, R’ Aharon Yosef Belinitzki A”H, R, Yisroel Levin A”H, and R, Meir Itkin A”H (as well as a few others not listed here). Once, at one of these farbrengens, a few of the Chasidim had too much to drink and became a little “wild.” (As one can imagine, they were not truly wild as they all truthfully only lived to serve Hashem.) Reb Nissen and Reb Yisroel Noach discussed the matter and gave these individuals a “k’nas” (consequence), that until further notice they could not have any l'chaim. Even though they did not officially daven b’avoidah (a Chassidishe way of davening which entails several hours of deep meditation), it still took them a while to finish; especially since they would sit and farbreng after, often for many hours. The “Chassidisher” minyan began with two hours of Chassidus, somewhere between 7:00 am and 8:00 am, after which the Chassidim all walked together to the river for mikvah, which always took some time, followed by davening. B"H ספורי R' NISSEN'S L'CHAIM חסידים BAN As told by R’ Yoske Sossonko A”H: When the Frierdiker Rebbe left Russia, he instructed Reb Nissen Nemenov A”H to direct the Chassidim who stayed behind. The Chassidim accepted this ruling respectfully and with kabbalas ol, and several months later they were allowed to have a l'chaim again. Reb Nissen took the Frierdiker Rebbe’s instructions to heart and faithfully ran the underground Yeshiva as well as the Anash community. When Anash were in Samarkand, Uzbekistan during WWII, the Lubavitchers davened at the home of Reb Yisroel Noach Belinitzki A”H. Fraida Sossonko A’H would say that her husband R’ Asher was always “brought” home in time to make havdalah. There were two daily minyanim, a regular minyan and a “Chassidisher” one.
