Since the curtains were all one colour, the Yerushalmi had to look for a different source for tzovea and the Yerushalmi brings the ‫עורות אילם‬ ‫“ – מאדמים‬reddened ram skins”, which according to how the rishonim learn (not like Rashi) was ram skins that were coloured by craftsmen hitting them whilst they were still alive, this created a fancy pattern in the skin containing various different shapes and patterns of red blotches, but not entirely red, and therefore is classed according to the Yerushalmi as tzovea and not melaben. Similarly, two Baalei Tosfos, Rabbeinu Tam and Rav Eliyohu of Paris, disagreed whether the correct interpretation of the Torah's command (Devorim 6:8) regarding tefillin ‫“ – וקשרתם‬you shall bind them” - is that a person must tie anew the knot on his tefillin each day, or whether it is sufficient to bind the tefillin to one's arm via its straps (see Tosfos Chullin 9a). He explained that the Torah is referred to as “Toras Moshe,” and if in fact Moshe said that the true understanding of the word ‫ וקשרתם‬is that one must tie a new knot daily, there is no way to disagree with him and it is therefore impossible that this story is accurate, as Rabbeinu Tam never would have said that Moshe was mistaken. Explaining the reason for Moshe’s berachah, the Reisher Rav cites a Medrash (Shemos Rabbah 20:10) which teaches that it is appropriate to commend workers with a ‫( יישר כח‬loosely translated: thank you for a job well-done) when they successfully complete a task. Why the Shechinah originally blocked Moshe from entering the Mishkon After describing in detail how the Jewish people built all the vessels for the Mishkon and fashioned all the garments of the Kohen Gadol precisely as Hashem commanded Moshe, sefer Shemos curiously concludes (40:34-35): ‫ויכס הענן את אהל‬ ‫“ – מועד וכבוד ה׳ מלא את המשכן ולא יכל משה לבוא אל אהל מועד כי שכן עליו הענן וכבוד ה׳ מלא את המשכן‬A Cloud (Shechinah) covered the Ohel Moed and filled it up, preventing Moshe from entering, due to that fact that it was filled up with the Shechinah”. Not long ago when the sh
