Many try to hedge their bets: they pray to God but also rely on "connections," bribes, or manipulations. The sources call this "the destruction of trust."

The Rule of Exclusivity

Trust in God works only when it is exclusive. If a person includes someone else in their security system (an influential friend, a reliable bank, or their own cunning), God removes His direct patronage. The person remains at the mercy of the object or person they relied upon.

The Paradox of Help

When we rely on people, we doom ourselves to disappointment, because no one can help or harm us without sanction from Above. Attempting to serve both God and "mammon" (money) makes faith superficial and useless. True trust requires the realization: there is only one Reality, and everything else is merely scenery that God changes at His discretion.
