«שיתוק אנליטי» — המחלה המרכזית של דורנו

אין זמן לספקות: העיקר הוא המעשה

No Time for Doubts: The Main Thing Is Action

In his letters, the Rebbe frequently addressed people who were postponing spiritual growth, considering themselves "unworthy" or "not ready." His answer was invariable: start performing at least one mitzvah right now. A soul may descend into this world for seventy or eighty years for the sake of a single act — helping another person, reciting one blessing, lighting one candle. "Analysis paralysis" is essentially a trick of the evil inclination, which convinces a person that they must first understand everything, study everything, achieve perfection — and only then act. But the Torah says otherwise: "Naaseh ve-nishma" — first we will do, and then we will understand.

Do not wait for the ideal moment or complete understanding. Time lived without good deeds cannot be returned — every minute passes irrevocably. The Rebbe taught that every good deed, even the smallest one, has infinite value and can tip the scales of the entire world toward good. One person who put on tefillin this morning may have changed the fate of an entire city. One woman who lit Shabbat candles may have brought light to thousands of souls. G-d does not demand perfection from us — He demands action. Stand up and do something right now, because it may be precisely your deed that becomes the final act of goodness that transitions the entire world from darkness to light.
